How can I add a favicon into my website?
Posted by Sanjeev Kanth on 27 March 2012 10:54 AM
A favicon is a special icon associated with your website. Web browsers make use of it by displaying icon in the browser's address bar and next to the page's name in a list of bookmarks.

Favicon example

You can upload any image to be used as your favicon - you just need to bear in mind that it will appear very small, so try to keep the image as simple as possible.

Create a favicon by following these steps:

1. In the website builder, go to “Template” [a] in the main menu, then select “Favicon” [b].

Upload your own favicon

2a. If you don’t have a favicon yet, click on “Upload”.

Upload a favicon

2b. If you already have a favicon and want to change it, click on “Replace

Replace a favicon

3. Select the image you want to upload using the file explorer that appears. You can select any image in the format JPG, GIF, PNG or ICO.

Select your favicon

4. Once the image has been uploaded you will see a preview of your favicon.

5. To remove a favicon, select “Remove”.

Remove your favicon

Please note: You may not see your favicon online immediately after uploading. Depending on your web browser and settings, you may need to republish your website before you see it, or delete your temporary Internet files first.
