How do I make a page password protected?
Posted by Sanjeev Kanth on 06 June 2011 09:57 AM
You can set a password for a Webpage and it can be accessed online only if the right password is supplied by the visitor.

You can set a password for a Webpage as follows:

- Select the Webpage you wish to set a password for from the ‘Site Structure’ menu

Select the Webpage

- Go to the ‘Page’ ribbon, tick the box ‘This page is password protected’ [a] and enter a password for the Webpage in the ‘Set password’ field [b]

This page is password protected

- Republish your Website for the change to take effect by going to ‘File’ and clicking on ‘Publish Live’

Republish your Website

If then you try to access the password protected page online, the following dialog box will be displayed to prompt you for the password

Enter your password
