Posted by Sanjeev Kanth on 06 June 2011 09:49 AM
You can link a page to an external Website by proceeding as follows:

- Select the Webpage you’d like to set as an external link from the ‘Site Structure’ menu

Select the Webpage

- Click on the Cog icon next to it and select ‘Link Page’

Select "Link Page"

- From the ‘Link type’ window, select ‘External Link’ [a]

- In the ‘Location (URL)’ , enter the exact address of the external Website or Webpage to link to (The URL/address must be entered in the following format: http://www.site.com/) [b]

- You can either choose to have the external Website opening in a new window by selecting ‘New Window’ from the ‘This link will open in’ Dropdown list [c]

- Or to have it opening in the same window as your Website by selecting ‘Same Window’ from the ‘This site will open in’ Dropdown list [c]

Select "External Link"

- You can then hit ‘OK’ and all you need to do to activate the external link is to publish/republish your Website by going to the ‘File’ ribbon and clicking on ‘Publish Live’

Republish your Website
