How do I build a template from scratch?

To build a template from scratch, you can proceed as follows:

- Go to ‘Template’ and click on ‘More Templates’

Click on "More Templates"

- Select the ‘Blank Templates’ category then the ‘Empty’ template

- Click on ‘Choose this design’ then ‘Cancel’ and click on ‘Edit Template’

Click on "Edit Template"


Here are the main actions you may need to carry out to build your Website template:

1. Object insertion

You can insert any supported object (Text, Image, Shape, Button…) into the template by simply going to ‘Insert’ and clicking on the icon which corresponds to the object you’d like to insert

2. Object customization

After inserting an object, you can customize it by left-clicking on it to edit it then use the available functions on the ‘Format’ ribbon.

If the selected object is a text box, in order to customize the text format, you need to select the text within the text box first.

3. Positioning an object:

You can position an object anywhere on the template page by simple left-clicking on it and dragging it to the spot where you’d like it positioned.

4. Deleting an object:

Any object from the Template can be deleted by simply selecting it and hitting the ‘Delete’ button at the ‘Edit’ section level.

5. Setting a background for your template

Once done building your template, leave the template mode by clicking on ‘Close Template’ then you can start building your Webpages.
