How can I set my preferred published website format?
Posted by Sebastian Schmitz on 07 August 2012 04:41 PM
You have the freedom to choose whether your published website will be displayed in Flash or HTML5 whenever possible.

  • If you choose Flash, the Flash version will be displayed if the browser has a Flash plugin installed, and if not then the HTML5 version will be displayed.
  • If you choose HTML5, the HTML5 version will be displayed if the browser supports the technology, even if a Flash plugin is installed. If the browser does not support HTML5, the Flash version will be displayed.

Follow these steps to change the settings for your published website:

1. In the website builder, go to the “File” [a] tab and click on "
Publish Settings" [b]

Website save and publish

2. In the drop-down menu that appears, select “Settings for published website” [c]

Website save and publish settings

3. In the pop-up window that opens you can select HTML5 or Flash to be the preferred format for your published website. If the browser does not support your preferred format, the other will be displayed automatically.
