How do I copy and paste an object?

There are three ways you can cut / copy / paste an object:

1. The menu ribbon

Location of cut, copy and paste buttons in the ribbon menu

Select the object then press the corresponding buttons that are always visible at the left hand side of the menu ribbon:

Cut icon Cut
Copy icon Copy
Paste icon Paste

 

2. The right mouse button
Move the mouse over the object and press the right mouse button and a contextual menu will appear where you can select to cut, copy or paste the object.

3. Keyboard shortcuts

The standard keyboard shortcuts can be used only for text inside Text elements. Select the text and press the following keys simultaneously:

Cut: CTRL-X (For Mac users: Command-X)
Copy: CTRL-C (For Mac users: Command-C)
Paste: CTRL-V (For Mac users: Command-V)
